How the score is worked out

  • Each event is scored 0 to 100 from the official table for your age band and sex. If your result falls between two listed values, you earn the points of the lower listed result. The Army’s tables do not state this rule; it is how we read them.
  • General standard: at least 60 points in every event and at least 300 total. Combat standard: at least 60 points in every event and at least 350 total. The combat standard is sex-neutral and uses the male column.
  • Age bands are 17–21, 22–26, 27–31, 32–36, 37–41, 42–46, 47–51, 52–56, 57–61 and 62 and over.
